Buddy Updike Given The Golden Gavel Award

Buddy Updike "The Auction Man" was awarded the Virginia Auctioneers Association's "Golden Gavel Award" at the 2007 Convention in Blacksburg, Virginia. The award is given for longevity and service to the VAA, the community, and the auction profession.
Buddy becomes only the second auctioneer in VAA history to have own all three of the Associations to awards - Hall of Fame, Auctioneer of the Year and Golden Gavel Award.
At Auction and the Auction Man were also awarded six first place awards for marketing and photography excellence, including a "Best of Show" Award.
